  1. My mare Blossom aged about 30, came to Worsenden 4th July 2012 and found first class retirement, sadly she died peacefully during the night of 2/3 January 2016. Heather & Richard together with Helen their yard assistant deserve every credit for the wonderful care they give to all the horses, there is no better place to retire your faithful friend.

  2. I was just thinking it has been nearly 2 years since Heather & Richard delivered Mariette. She is a very level headed lady and is growing well. Very quick to learn and an absolute dream to own. So if anyone out there is looking for a youngster Worsenden Farm is the perfect place to start. I have not regretted my choice for one second. Good luck to any new owners or anyone looking to find the perfect baby for them xxx

  3. Well, it has been a year since Monty and Camanche moved to Worsenden Farm whilst my daughter completed her Masters Degree.

Tomorrow the horses come home, but I couldn't let them leave without giving a massive thank you to Heather and her family for the fantastic care and attention they have both received. I can't express enough how grateful both Laney and I are, the welcome we have received when visiting and just the overall friendly attitude from all concerned.

If anyone is considering retirement livery for their horse, I would recommend Heather at Worsenden Farm every time. In fact, if ever I need to put Camanche on retirement livery again Heather would be the first person I would ring.

"Thank you" just doesn't seem enough, but it is a very big "THANK YOU" to you all, from all of us!

  4. Following my post of July last year I just have to repeat what I said then, my old girl came through the winter with no problems and with Heather's care is looking fabulous. The service I receive is fab,I text to say when I can come & Blossom is brought in from the field so I can pamper her for an hour or so. The icing on the cake is that Blossom still calls out when she sees me, something I was worried about at not seeing her that regularly, her livery is money well spent.

  5. Being a first time horse owner I was very nervous when it came to the delivery day of Marley. After months of waiting and prepping, the day was here. Both Heather and Richard turned up with Marley and greeted me with the same friendly happy faces they always have done. And even though I was panicking they stayed calm and he unloaded really well. He is a pleasure to have a very very fast learner and a true credit to both Heater and Richard. I'm proud to say I own a Worsenden foal. If I was to get another horse in the future. I would without a shadow of doubt buy from here again!

I can't say thank you enough to you both.

We will keep you posted on the progress of our little superstar!

  6. A big big thank you to heather…and the beautiful King for providing us with two of the most amazing foals of 2011 ( Worsenden king Lancelot and Worsenden lumiere) all your foals are amazing but I'm bias for my 2 boys! I cannot
express how friendly and helpful you were/ are and I cannot praise kings foals enough. If I could I would have a stable full of your babies. Merry Christmas and good luck with the coming foaling season :-) xx

  7. Heather and Richard delivered Mariette yesterday. They made everything seem very easy, even though I was panicking as she is my first foal. She stepped off the trailer like she had been doing it all her life,a very placid young lady.We first saw her at 19 days old and ever since then Heather has kept me up to date on her progress. Every time we have visited over the last 8 months (seems like a lifetime) we have been made very welcome. Thank you Heather for my perfect little lady she is a real credit to you Kate x x x

  8. I moved my elderly cob mare to Heather's on 4th July and she has settled in really well. She has hardly any top teeth but due to Heather's care and attention she is on long grass and looks amazing. She is really holding her weight and her coat is shining. I have owned Blossom for 23 years and feel this is the perfect home for her.

  9. I have to agree with Katie on this one. I spent many months agonising do i or dont i, and wondering how my beloved thoroughbred mare of 15 was going to cope without me...well, i know now, absolutely fine! i dropped Ellie off on Saturday 21st April and after a couple of neighs, she has settled in brilliantly. Heather and her family made me feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I saw Ellie on Sunday out with her new found friends and after a slight acknowledgement of my presence, grass was far too important. I feel so reassured that i made the right decision, and, if you find yourself where i was a few months ago, i would highly recommend Heather and her family for that 5* care. Thank you for making a very hard decision alot easier.

  10. When making the decisson to move my horse into a retirment yard was the hardest choice i have ever had to make.

Meeting Heather and her family they are all lovely people and it made that decisson 1000 times easier. they have a lovely set up and the horses are very relaxed and happy and have 5* treatment.

I would highly recormend to anyone who is finding it hard to let go that it would be the best decisson you will make, into moving your horse onto caring loving yard!!!

Thank you sooo much heather for looking after Ben and letting him be just a horse again!!!!! xxxxxxx

  13. The nicest, most genuine breeders of wonderful horses that I have ever met and bought a horse from in my life. Not only did I acquire a beautiful filly but I made friends with other buyers as well as with Heather and her lovely family. I can not recommend them highly enough.

  14. I have always been made to feel very welcome by Heather. All the horses from the newest foal to the oldest retirement livery are relaxed and happy and the babies are out of this world. One day fingers crossed I can have one too!

I would recommend the farm to anyone looking for either retirement livery or a new 4 legged friend as you will not meet a more honest and approachable family. Keep up the fantastic work and hope to see you soon.

  17. Heather and her husband have, and continue to produce some top class youngsters which have gone to homes all over the UK. She is 100% genuine and her horses are smashing!! She takes the time to continually and almost on a daily basis update all owners with photographs of their prospective foals as they grow and mature. I'm 'glad' that I do not have my own grazing - otherwise I'd not be able to help myself!! Carry on the good work Heather. :) Karen. x
